Notus, a piece for two dancers, creates a direct collaboration between art and science, deploying sensitive research and translation around live social issues.

Inspired by ‘dialogism’, a social science concept that theorises the ways in which the individual constructs himself in and through his relationship with others, Notus questions individual responsibility, the impact of influence on others and collective action through the language of the body.

The audience witnesses two dancers getting rid of the Hip Hop and contemporary background that defines them, presenting themselves as two individuals seeking the other, for a intimate and perpetual metamorphosis.

Notus develops a reflection in movement, in which the other is not just an external partner, a pole of attraction or repulsion, but also the source of each individual's development - sometimes in symbiosis, sometimes in crisis, sometimes in tension.
